Why Every Dog Begins with a Meet & Sniff

At El Ranchito Wanderlust, every new dog begins with a Meet & Sniff.

It's a personalized 45-minute introduction designed to help us get to know your dog and make sure El Ranchito is the right fit for them.

During the Meet & Sniff, we slowly introduce your dog to the Ranchito, our private dog park, our routines, and our social environment. We take time to observe personality, temperament, comfort level, communication style, and compatibility with our existing groups.

It's not a test, and there is no expectation that every dog will settle in immediately.

Some dogs walk through the gate and feel right at home. Others need a little more time to understand the new environment and build confidence. In those cases, we may recommend a few shorter visits before moving into a full daycare day or overnight stay.

We believe that transition should happen at the dog's pace—not according to a schedule.

The goal of the Meet & Sniff is simple: to start a relationship, understand the individual dog, and create the foundation for a positive experience at El Ranchito.

Every dog has a personality, a history, and a different way of settling into a new place. We want to understand theirs before we ask them to stay.
